Bud-Break

Bud-Break will be shared as work in progress, on 2nd December 2017

This particular piece signs a turning point in my practice as for the first time, I am connecting my choreographic work with my visual art work. I have always been interested in visual art as a source of inspiration, but this time I am using my own drawings to develop a choreography.

The chosen drawings reflect my connection to nature, movement and my fascination for facial expressions as a mean to express individuality but also universal similarities between different people and cultures. This abstract piece explores ideas around the themes of encounters and unravelling hidden sides of one self while on a Journey. This resonate with the way individual faces form and are revealed in the drawing as the different lines meet on the paper.
