About Trail Tale -Snapshots and Trail Tale - La Melodia
A collaboration with film-maker and photographer Andrea Gambadoro and fashion artist Magdalena Glowacka from La Strada Fashion Circus. Our aim is to produce a multidisciplinary art event where themes and content of the choreography are translated into still images and moving pictures. The event will include: a video installation and one or more live performance/s of Trail Tale. |
For this phase of the project we are interested:
· To explore the collaborative nature of the project and look at the different processes needed for a crossing over between the different disciplines.
· To retain the essence of the themes of the work and the focus on movement and the body as a core form of expression in all selected media.
· To identify similarities and differences across the different arts forms in terms of what woks best to express certain elements of the work.
· To use audiences’ appreciation of the final outcome to inform the above (Evaluation forms will be distributed at the event)
· To involve general members of the public in the creative and research process. (Audiences’ feedbacks were gathered at the Festival to develop the piece).
Members of the public contribution:
Trail Tale - Childhood Memories (Completed)
We have asked members of the public to contribute to our research and development by sharing with us a picture taken with their phone, of an object or of a photograph connected to their childhood and in particular to their relationship with a parent.
All gathered images have been used in the development of the choreography’s movement content.
Trail Tale – Embrace (Completed)
The choreography as an element of audience interaction so we have asked members of the public in different London locations to pose for a picture while hugging one of the performers. The findings of this research have informed the choreography.
The Video: 'Trail Tale - La Melodia'
The choreography has been turned into a short dance-film. (See below)
